Should I continue this site?

Please vote to the right.

I'm not sure if folks really care about this site.  I hate to go through all the trouble of writing essays if no one is going to read them.  I don't get a lot of comments, so I don't really know how much impact I'm having.  Is it worth it?

Please comment below.

Thanks.

  1. I enjoy your posts Rich. You can go to stats on your blogger dashboard to see how many hits you are getting. I don't always comment because I don't think my opinion matters much - and also I don't like to debate, esp with someone super smart! =) I hope you keep it up. I have been doing my blog since 2006, it's mainly just to capture memories with family & friends, esp my girls. It's fun to look back on too.

  2. I do look at the dashboard history, but it doesn't tell me how many are repeat hits. I really have no idea how many readers I have, but I'd be surprised if it's more than a dozen.

I'm looking into moving the blog to a private domain. I have to see what it would cost to buy the domain and set up a site with messaging and polling capabilities.

It looks like I'll continue writing though. I'll start up again this coming weekend.

    1. if you haven't already, put a link to your blog on facebook, so more people know about it. the only reason i found it was because tammy(?) posted a link to it once in one of her fb posts. bloggers used to be able to have blog posts automatically feed to facebook; not sure if that capability is still available. you can always post a link to your blog from your facebook every time you write a new one. that may help boost readership.

  3. Rich, I really enjoy what you write. I generally do not comment too much, because usually I am far to sarcastic for most people. Also it is easier to comment if you disagree with the author, or with another commentor.

Eventually, I'd like to move this blog to it's own domain.
